In-person events are coming back after more than a year and a half obliged to virtual meetings. The construction sector has been able to once again enjoy one of the most important events, Rebuild 2021 “Transforming building”.

From the 21st to the 23rd of September, the trade show doors of IFEMA in Madrid opened to the world of construction, holding the 4th edition of the Rebuild show. This year, attendance surpassed expectations and the number seen before the pandemic. 10,673 people attended the congress and more than 280 companies participated actively with stands.

The topics discussed during the three intense days, which are also the hottest topics in construction today, were the industrialization, digitalization and sustainability of the sector.

But what marked the difference were the various networking sessions, in which b2b meetings were encouraged. The Leadership Summit brought together the top managers of the most relevant companies in the industry.

Small companies, SMEs and startups also had their space at the Construction Tech Startup Forum, where 10 had the opportunity to present their most innovative solutions and projects in front of builders, developers, architects, interior designers, engineers, investors and industry partners. Afterwards, the most disruptive idea was chosen, proclaiming Cosmos Engineering as the winner, thanks to its CoSMoS system that controls the firmness of concrete in real time.

Also, the Industrialization Challenge was held for the first time, a meeting place for the most innovative companies in industrialized solutions, developers and construction companies. Several agreements were signed as a result of these meetings.

This congress was another step for the construction sector towards construction 4.0.
