The labor union, CC.OO., has valued very positively the plan of recovery, transformation and services presented by the government at the beginning of this month. 28% of the funds of the recovery plan are designated to infrastructures and the urban and rural agenda.

The syndicate is very optimistic because this budget provision will help to promote actions in which the construction sector will benefit either directly or indirectly; all of which have the main objective of economic recovery and the creation of employment.
Some of these actions are directed at the development of intelligent, digital and sustainable cities, integral rehabilitation on a large scale of buildings or the access to housing and sustainable transportation.
The plan contemplates the policies designated to the urban and rural agenda and resilient infrastructures.
The urban and rural agenda hopes to boost the role of cities in the economic and social transformation and the construction sector is the focus to stimulate the economy in the short term. Another objective is to improve the occupancy of rural areas.
Resilient infrastructures are hoped to assure investments in infrastructures containing measures to face climate change, such as the implementation of efficiency measures and sustainable water management.
On the creation of the recovery, transformation and services plan, the president of the government, Pedro Sánchez, indicated that “The country is facing an important challenge that is going to require commitment and consensus from all parties in order to apply the changes necessary with the goal of recovering the path to economic recovery and creation of employment”.
A plan that the union has positively assessed and that we hope will be implemented as soon as possible with the intention of developing initiatives that will lead to the sector’s recovery.
