The Construction Labor Foundation, with financing from the State Foundation for the Prevention of Occupational Hazards, has created five interactive guides and two websites designated to training, information and technical consulting on matters related to the prevention of specific risks in construction.

One of the principal functions of the Construction Labor Foundation is to promote the improvement of safety and health conditions in the construction sector and, to do this, it is key to develop new tools of information and outreach that allow one to broaden their knowledge. The 5 interactive guides, which have recently been published, are a step in the right direction.

In the guides, users will find all types of resources such as manuals, fact sheets, posters or videos which are centered around aspects from the construction sector such as high-rise work, protection organizations, personal protection equipment (PPE) or machinery. Its contents are technical and, in addition to regulations, technical requirements or recruitment criteria, it also includes practical solutions and innovative proposals to face the different circumstances of each area.

The titles of the guides are the following:

- Interactive guide for the selection of PPE in the construction sector
Details what is the most used PPE by workers and facilitates comprehensive information on each.

- Interactive guide to select PPE and anchoring systems for high-rise work in construction
Shows which is the PPE for high-rise work and offers advice on the selection of the most adequate protection equipment based on the specifications of each job.

- Interactive guide on the technical requirements and preventive measures for high-rise work equipment
A very complete analysis on the components of the work equipment used for high-rise work.

- Interactive guide for selection and placement of group protection on site
Contains updated information on group protection systems most used in the construction sector.

- Interactive guide on machinery
Reviews what is the most used work equipment in the different areas of a construction job and facilitates technical information about the requirements that should be met for each one.

The new website that the Construction Labor Foundation has created wants to offer information on the new needs that companies of the sector have, such as preventive management of organizations. Specifically, these are:

- Guide to implement mobility plans in the construction sector
With information to develop and implement mobility plans in small companies of the sector.

- Methodological and audiovisual resources for the preventive awareness of workers in the construction sector
For educators to find short videos that will help them understand awareness on matters of work safety and health.
