Seven Spanish construction companies are in the first positions of the GPoC ranking
Among the 100 top-billing construction companies of 2018, seven are Spanish. Among them, they constitute 5% of the total sales worldwide, which consolidates Spain in sixth position behind China, Japan, the USA, France and South Korea, according to the GPoC ranking elaborated by Deloitte
Increase of the average price of housing throughout most of the municipalities along the Spanish coast.
The average price of the houses in the municipalities along the Spanish coast has risen when compared to last year, according to the Coastal Housing Report 201,9 published by the real estate company, Tinsa. Permissions for new building have also increased from last year
Exportation of construction material in the first quarter of the year increased 1.55% compared to 2018.
Manufacturers of construction products exported, during the first quarter of the year, materials amounting to 8,263 M€, 1.55% more than in 2018, with a commercial balance of more than 1,700 M€. These figures represent 8.6% of the total exportation of the Spanish economy
The supply of new housing has lowered it surplus bringing it close to figures from 2007
The supply of new properties, houses and apartments which have never sold or experienced any kind of transfer, decreased in 2018 by 3.6% with regards to last year. According to figures from the study by the Ministry of Development on the supply of new housing, numbers like these have not been seen in Spain since before the crisis, in 2007. This new data makes eight consecutive years of reduction for the new housing supply in Spain
